So I did a 95 mile bike ride last Saturday and it felt awful! Realized that Specialized saddle is only good for 50 miles, but I felt exhausted. The iron-deficiency maybe? I hope so. Let's see, I was diagnosed in June, so after 4 months of iron pills, my iron level has not budged one bit! I'm still anemic. So iron infusions next week! I hope it makes me feel better.
Ironman in 7 weeks. I more ready to have it over. Not the best attitude for the race, but I am burned out!
I like swimming once I start doing it, but for some reason I have a terrible time dragging myself to the pool or Barton Springs. I'm better though. I'm hoping for a 1:30 swim time.
New ballet moves:
fondu ["melted"]. Any movement that lowers the body by bending one leg. In a plié, both legs support the body; in a fondu, only one leg supports the body.
échappé ["escaped"]. A movement in which the legs move from fifth position out to second position or, occasionally, to fourth position.
sous-sus ["under-over"] (or sus-sous ["over-under"]). A relevé in a tight fifth position with one foot almost on top of the other
pas de chat ["step of the cat"]. A jump. Leap off the left leg, starting from a plié and raising the right leg into retiré. In midair, raise the left leg into retiré, too, so your legs form a diamond shape in the air. Land on the right leg with the left leg still in retiré; then bring it down, landing in another plié
Unfortunately, I look like a crippled, drunk cat doing that last step.
I rode my bike to ballet class. I love Austin.
