A. Four (or more) of the following symptoms have been present during the past 4-6 months (depending on length of training schedule):
1. fatigue or loss of energy nearly every day
2. increased appetite, especially after 4 hour bike rides
3. sense of entitlement to eat whatever you want, especially after 4 hour bike rides
4. frequent mood swings, fluctuating from grandiosity of feeling you can do anything to deflated self esteem of feeling you can do nothing
5. increased need for sleep
6. excessive involvement in spending sprees in running, tri and bike stores.
7. frequent and recurrent verbalizations either in person or via blog of fluctuating moods
8. feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt when workout is missed
9. recurrent thoughts of not finishing the race
B. Important work, home or school duties are neglected.
C. Symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational and blogging areas of functioning.
Specifiers:
Mild, Moderate, Severe
Chronic (defined as 2 or more IM in 1 year)
In partial remission, In full remission
With Seasonal Pattern
