I was hit by a car today while on my bike. I just got home from the emergency room. I have injuries, although I'm not dead or paralyzed. It was very, very frightening. I'm in a lot of pain. Austria? Who knows now. What is worse is that I did the Cap-Tex tri yesterday. It was fun; Philip and Natalie were there and it got me excited about racing again, which is why I was out there training today. I'm more bummed because cycling was always my favorite and strongest part of triathlons...how am I ever going to get back on my bike? More later. Thanks to everyone who helped me out today.
I hope you are ok. Good to hear that you at least have no broken bones and were able to go home from the ER. Rest up. I hope you feel better soon

I know you have to be spooked, but I also know that when you are well, you will get back on the bike because you are Jane and you are amazing. You also have lots cycling buddies that will help you ease back into it.

Jane-that's a scary, horrible thing to happen and I'm so sorry to hear that happened. Take care of your physical wounds and then tend to the mental ones to overcome any demons to get back on the bike. You love it too much and it means too much to just let it get set aside. No car accident should win to take away something that means so much to you. Hang in there.

Hang in there, Jane. I hope you heal quickly and can move beyond this soon. For now, just think of rest and recovery.

On the down low.. I have some low-life friends that do things the old fashion way. With baseball bats and lead pipes, you know what I mean, breaking knees, fingers, whatever it takes. Just let me know if I need to make the call.. wink wink.. the less you know about it the better...
Hey really, who did you piss off?? first the dog bite, now hit by a car.. Do you know Marie Lavoe???
Get better...

Sounds bad, but it also sounds like it could have been worse. In fact the worst part may actually be getting on the bike again. Get out there as soon as you can! Face the fear. Watch TopGun! ;-)
